Manly

Today we took Rusty for a walk along the Manly foreshore to Shelly Beach and back. The weather this winter has been extremely warm. As you can see, it's warm enough to sit on the beach and go swimming!

Manly

I decided to do a bit more exploring now that the sunshine has returned and before I start full-time work next week. Today I visited Manly, located on the north shore coastal peninsular, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and Sydney Harbour on the other. Manly beach is very popular with surfers.

Spit Bridge to Manly Scenic Walkway

Today I met up with Jules and we walked part of the Spit Bridge to Manly scenic walkway.

The walkway meanders around the harbour foreshore from the Spit Bridge via Dobroyd Head to Manly. The full length of the walkway is 10km and takes around 5 hours to complete however there are a number of connecting tracks which lead to beaches and lookouts, so you could easily make a whole day of it.

We walked 3km from Spit Bridge to the Grotto Point Light and back, which took around 3 hours.

More info on Grotto Point Light here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grotto_Point_Light

You guessed it, Bruce was working again this weekend (his last apparently), so unfortunately he doesn't appear in this post!
