Rose Bay

Today we walked all the way to the beach at Rose Bay, where Rusty learnt to swim! We had lunch at the Lynn Park Cafe and then sat on the grass for a few hours to restore our energy before the long walk home.

Nielsen Park

Today we took Chris' Mum's friend Pamela to lunch at the Nielsen Park Cafe. We then did the foreshore walk to Strickland House, which was the home of Sydney's first Mayor, John Hosking.

Woolwich Dock

Today we drove to Woolwich and had lunch at the Woolwich Pier Hotel. Afterwards, we walked around Woolwich Dock and Clarkes Point Reserve. Rusty loved the outing!

The Rocks Markets and Cremorne Point

Today I wondered around The Rocks markets before taking a ferry to Cremorne Point where I spent the afternoon walking the Cremorne Reserve.

North Head

After our walk (previous post), Jules and I drove to North Head where there is a scenic drive and a short walking track at the end offering without doubt the most stunning views of Sydney.

More info on the Sydney Heads available here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_Heads

Balmain

As well as visiting Ballast Point Park, I also spent a bit of time exploring the suburb of Balmain last weekend. As an old suburb, Balmain has a number heritage buildings many of them industrial, which have since been converted into apartment blocks. It has a village feel but is very also very close to the city, a bit like Hampstead in London. Can you guess where we are looking for our next apartment?
